Description of sessions
PURE data via Dashboard
Presentation of how data from the PURE modules Applications and Awards and from other sources is displayed in a Qlik dashboard. The dashboard has become a valuable tool for ITU’s research support team. It gives the team an overview of applications and grants, and statistics can be extracted for internal presentations. Henrik Engell-Hedager (former ITU, now CBS) gives and overview of the creation and initial use of the dashboard. Marianne Gauffriau (former Royal Danish Library, now ITU) provides insights into how a new staff member can benefit from and develop the dashboard.
Process automation
Presentation of the digital archive which uses RPA for documentation of expenses related to EU-grants. We will show how we have organised the archives and how we use basic information from our finance systems and add necessary documentation. We will show how we use RPA to segment our control according to funding type, in order to provide better documentation for cost statement. This gives us a better quality of finance transactions which in the end makes reporting easier.
The DTU-Watson project
The DTU-Watson was a project aimed at utilizing machine learning in a computer system to assist lawyers in contract negotiations, in particular contracts with multiple parties. The project showed that machine learning has many potentials, but it also gave an insight into the complexity of creating such system, which ultimately resulted in the project being closed down. The presentation will cover potentials of machine learning in contract negotiations, but the main focus will be the difficulties in executing and completing the project.
Funding Apps
Did you ever struggle with finding the right calls for research topics? Do you struggle to get an overview of EU funded research? Is it sometimes difficult to find partners and build a winning consortium? To help researchers and research managers in these tasks, SDU RIO has developed a series of tailor-made web apps that draws on research publication and funding data to fasten some tedious tasks, facilitate the collaboration between researchers and research supporters, and ultimately increase applications competitiveness. In our presentation, we will present our general approach and show to the audience how the web apps work. We will also give concrete examples of how the web apps are used at SDU during the pre-award cycle.
Networking and competences
Apart from the presenters, additional personal with broad digitalization interests and competences will be present to increase the networking potential during the event. For example, personnel with the following areas of interest will be present:
- Robotic Process Automation
- CRM-systems
- Systems integration
- Bibliometrics
- Advanced use of Excel
- FileMaker-server case handling
- PowerBI
If you want to highlight other competences being present from your organizations, please inform enf@sdu.dk and the info will be shared via DARMA’s communication channel(s).
