Job description
We are seeking a candidate who can be in front of the MissionGreenFuels’ secretariat. The MissionGreenFuels secretariat is a virtual secretariat and is a joint effort by AAU Innovation (where you will be placed), Energy Cluster Denmark and the Danish Centre for Energy Storage. You will report to the Chairman of MissionGreenFuels’ Board of Directors and the Head of Fundraising and Project Management, AAU Innovation. You will be working closely with the Board of Directors, the co-secretariat organisations and their project managers, and the partnership members across a broad range of disciplines. You will be in front of the strategic development of the partnership, deliver effective target support as we carry out our ambition to grow the MissionGreenFuels partnership and deliver on the Danish Climate Act’s targets.
The successful candidate will be result-oriented, perseverant, a team-player, and a strong communicator. There is no personnel management in the position as Partnership Leader.
Your Role
Developing the partnership:
Strategic development of the Partnership in terms of impact, role and focus
Manage the political focus in collaboration with the Board of Directors
Foster activities to build or shape the Partnership (workshops, meetings, conferences and more)
Support collaboration across the portfolio of projects
Stakeholder management within and outside the Partnership and point of contact
Foster collaboration across the other three Innomissions
Management of the secretariat:
Daily management of the virtual secretariat and cooperation with the co-secretariat organisations
Develop communication plans to support the goals of the Partnership
Maintain information flow via website, newsletter, SoMe, and more
Monitoring project progress via milestones, budgets, and deliverables
Collect and communicate annual reports including budget review
Dialogue with the Innovation Fund Denmark
Responsibilities to the Board of Directors
Plan and facilitate BoD meetings
Keep BoD informed on relevant matters in a timely manner
Use the BoD competencies to develop the Partnership
Your profile
You hold a university degree and have demonstrable experience with project management. You must have the ability to navigate in an environment with people of many different backgrounds. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, facilitator, and manager, who understands how to adapt communication and behaviors to different surroundings.
Your professional background is preferably of such a nature, that you can comprehend the technological and scientific fundamentals of the research and innovation activities within MissionGreenFuels without necessarily being an expert. As the Partnership is in the very early stages, a start-up mentality where new ideas are brought forward is encouraged. You understand that existing processes will be challenged, and you know what it takes to pave the way to build sustainable change. The role and tasks as Partnership Leader will be developed during the next 4,5 years.
About us
MissionGreenFuels is one of the new Innomissions funded by The Innovation Fund Denmark. The Danish government has designated four specific green research and innovation missions “Innomissions”– to contribute to and support the green transition. MissionGreenFuels is comprising a partnership of almost 60 companies, universities and institutions and a total funding from the Innovation fund Denmark of more than 200 mio. DKK to be allocated over a 5 year period from June 2022.
MissionGreenFuels has a Board of Directors with a chair from industry and a vice-chair from the university sector. A Technical Project Lead is appointed in order to ensure liaison between the technical activities in the workstreams and the Board of Directors.
You will be employed at AAU Innovation in the Fundraising and Project management office. The office provides advice and support to pre-award, post-award, and public affairs activities and works closely with both academia and private and public companies and organisations. The Fundraising and Project management office operates at the campuses in Aalborg, Copenhagen, and Esbjerg.

Further information
Hybrid working is available, and some on-campus work is required. It will be possible to work from our campus in Aalborg or in Copenhagen. Travel days should be expected.

Løn og ansættelsesvilkår
AGREEMENT
Employment and salary are in accordance with the Collective agreement for academics in the state sector, Protocol on employees in positions classified as Senior consultant. Additional individual salary supplements may be granted, subject to negotiation.
There is a 3-month mutual trial period.
Salary and terms of employment
Employment is for a set term of 4,5 years and the position is as Senior consultant (Chefkonsulent).
Weekly working hours are 37.
Expected start date January 1, 2023.
