Presentation from Austria: Toolbox for a national research portal in Austria
Many European countries have already taken the step of developing a national research portal. In Austria, some attempts were made, but nothing has come of it so far. That’s where RIS Synergy (https://forschungsdaten.at/en/ris/), a project of 14 Austrian Universities and three national funding organizations, took up their work on a concept study with a bottom-up approach. The second year into the study, the project gives an honest insight into their focus and discoveries. One major success of the project so far, is the establishment of an international working group on national and regional research portals.
