Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment and its implementation

In this webinar you will get an introduction to the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment and CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment).

CoARA Steering Board member Dr. Lidia Borrell-Damian gives an introduction to the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment and CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment).

DFF Board member Dr. Nanna Mik-Meyer talks about DFF’s commitment to the agreement.

The Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment sets a shared direction for changes in assessment practices for research, researchers and research performing organizations, with the overarching goal to maximize the quality and impact of research.

The agreement was published in June 2022 and is signed by AAU, AU, KU, SDU, Lundbeck Foundation, The Danish National Research Foundation, and Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF).

Signatories commit to a common vision, in which research assessments recognize diverse outputs, practices and activities that maximize the quality and impact of research. Hence, peer-review is central, supported by responsible use of quantitative indicators.

CoARA facilitates the implementation of the agreement with more than 500 organizations as signatories.

Webinar participants will receive a meeting link the day before the webinar. The webinar will not be recorded.
