Membership benifits
DARMA offers a wide range of online and in-person activities, including courses, seminars, workshops, Special Interest Group meetings, and the annual DARMA conference. Many activities are free of charge or partly financed by DARMA.
Through these activities, members become part of a well-established professional network of research managers and administrators across Danish institutions.
Members can also engage with colleagues through DARMA’s LinkedIn network where news, events, jobs and professional insights are shared.

DARMA offers members the opportunity to apply for stipends that support participation in professional development activities such as courses, conferences and meetings.

Volunteering and influence
DARMA is driven by volunteer engagement. Members can contribute through SIGs or other activities and help shape the development of the profession.
DARMA Stipends
DARMA membership gives you access to professional development, networking opportunities, and international collaboration in research management and administration:
- Online event: 2.000 DKK
- In-person event in Europe: 5.000 DKK
- In-person event outside Europe: 10.000 DKK
Who can apply
DARMA members can apply for a stipend to attend relevant events, exchange stays and meetings. The event is expected to be of benefit to the individual member and of interest to the association.
Selection criterias
Eligible applicant profile:
- DARMA member for at least one full year
- Have not received a DARMA stipend in the preceding two years
- Submit the application before the event
- Submit a brief report or blog post after the event to be published on DARMA’s website / LinkedIn
- Recipients may also be invited to tell about their experience at the annual DARMA meeting.
Eligible activities:
- Engage in a conference or meeting beyond just attending, e.g., give a presentation or poster presentation, review conference content, facilitate workshop
- Engage with international colleagues, e.g., exchange stay at an admin or research support office of a relevant institution outside your own
- Play an active role in the planning of an event, i.e. a conference, workshop, study tour etc.
- Other similar activities
