At this workshop, SDU’s Gender Equality Team (GET) will present their Gender Equality work, including the preparation and running of SDU’s GEP and how it fulfills the HEU GEP- requirements. They will present examples of how this translates into practices in relation to the formulation of proposals: From a pre-award support perspective (how are the HEU’s GE-criteria met formally and organizationally, how to support pre-award funding officers/administrators in providing input on integrating GE perspectives in the formulation of project and consortium) and from the perspective of researcher/applicant (how to take diversity in team and study population into account, how to integrate the gender dimension in the research itself).

The workshop will be a mix of presentations and group reflections.

The workshop will be offered by Eva Sophia Myers, leader of SDU’s GET, Liv Baisner, senior consultant and GE-expert in GET, as well as Lena Lykke Jønch-Clausen, special consultant in Research Support, SDU’s Research and Innovation Office. Eva Sophia and Liv coordinate the H2020-project SPEAR and have previously been partners in the FP7-project FESTA. For the past three years, the facilitators have collaborated on supporting the integration of GE perspectives in SDU’s pre-award support especially in relation to EU proposals.
